April 28th, 2006 Mutha-fukin’ snakes on a mutha-fukin’ plane!

I don’t know anything about the title but Kat knew all and very, very funny. She must have told me the story b/c I’m in a funk. I got back to L.A. in just a GLOOM that I can’t shake.

I’m cranky b/c I had a GREAT time in OK with the 5 kids and many adults, then had a terrific weekend with Shannon, packed and drove to visit two of my cousins & their significant others in Bend and was thrilled to have such a good time (as I think they did too). My feeling is that the audition for Oregon Shakespeare Festival went well, that even if I don’t get cast it was a complimentary experience, and I had a lovely couple of days celebrating my friend Mildred’s 78th birthday afterwards!

All good reason to be in the dumps, right?

Maybe it’s just the crash from getting back to Los Angeles and having to face the reality of poverty, bills due, paperwork looming, and homework BEGGING to be started. That and the fact that I didn’t do 1/2 the Cali trip I was originally planning so I’m feeling cheated despite success with all these things I wanted happening! Greedy, greedy, greedy.

Time to really learn that Irish Blessing! Which reminds me, driving from Klamath Falls to Ashland is exactly what I imagine Ireland looks like: lava-filled grassy fields before steep piney mountains that break open onto vast rolling hills of green, deep valleys with sprinklings of livestock and quaint farm houses. So gorgeous. And the weather was 75 or 80 with sprinkles of showers. Idyllic.
