| January 29th, 2006 | HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! |
Eileen, Jen and I drove down to Garden Grove to meet up with Pauline and her friends for the Tet Festival (Vietnamese New Year celebration). After the fair, we went to eat yummy Pho and then finished the night with a visit to the Buddhist Temple where we got our good luck coins in red envelopes, burned prayer incense, and got our fortunes (I took Sô 27 - Què Thái Bình but then was told we were supposed to shake the sticks in order to get our number. So I shook the sticks and got #19, and put it away before looking for the letter which you are ALSO supposed to get because each number has four possible outcomes? I don’t know what all that means. Too confusing. oh well - I like my fortune and I’m sticking to it.) Excellent good times.
