New data has arisen to buttress the arguments against genetic engineering: Scientists have found that some plants can fix genetic mutations in their DNA presuming the "healthy" form was in their ancestry. Genetic engineering has always seemed to me to be the science of Richard Scarry’s Mr. Fix-it: the well intentioned klutz.
