February 23rd, 2005 Happy Bday Stephanie

thumb-steph1.jpgYou are invited to see the photos from Stephanie’s birthday party at Maria’s snapfish page. (Once again, this is not a 100% representative set of photos. Still no Tom! Does he even exist? Has anyone else met him, or is he my imaginary bf?)

February 18th, 2005 The Dread Magnesium Fire rebuttal

One of the two reasons I wish I had TiVo: (the other clearly being BBC America.) the Daily Show. This came up in conversation because of the response to IDreamInCode’s post re: the Magnesium Fire to which he says, "Those pesky Bloggers! All they have are FACTS!"

February 18th, 2005 Rebecca’s Desert Island Top 10 Movies

In honor of the upcoming Oscar’s,… and per Tom’s request, I am trying to update my personal

"Desert Island Movie List":

  1. It’s A Wonderful Life [just in case you're there through Xmas]
  2. Auntie Mame [just in case you're there through New Year's]
  3. Rebecca [shocker, I know]
  4. Brazil
  5. Ken Russell’s Salome’s Last Dance
  6. All About Eve
  7. Sullivan’s Travels
  8. That Obscure Object of Desire
  9. A Day at the Races
  10. The Wizard Of Oz [because if it wasn't on my list, my father would smack me in the head]

(This list may not be 100% correct. I’ll have to work on it?)

February 18th, 2005 Is there a Dead Letter Office in Cyberspace?

quick notes: I want to know, where do dead email accounts go? Is there a Dead Letter Office in cyberspace? I’ve had several (dozen?) email accounts opened for a brief period of time and then neglected. Maybe there’s a love poem collecting cyberdust in the attic of the web? Someday a young child sorting archaic data will find the tender callings of a heart, lingering long past the bloom of the flower. I’ve got a lovely red tulip on my desk. Even a single flower fills the air with tender repose. Hey sappy, by the way, it’s okay. Just let it go. (Do you hear the echoes of music in the corners of the electronic halls?) I think somewhere there are messages sent to tsoi or orangette and the only person who will ever read them is the nymph who wears my lost engagement ring. I hope she has my lost tapes and cds as well. Maybe the paintings, collages, those childish records of yor.

February 15th, 2005 More art…

Don’t you just wish you could travel and go to galleries all day long? Sigh.
