Employers! Want to torture your secretary? The old whip and razors not doing the trick this week? Feeling just a little more sadistic than usual and want to see the old guy cry? Want her to tear her nails into your flesh in revenge? ASK HER/HIM TO BUY SOMETHING ON EBAY! You can have hours of amusement while s/he puzzles through the numerous pages of bank statements trying to find the $.03 deposited into your account as verification! Or, give her your credit card without the statement and let him randomly guess the four digit “extended credit” authorization code! Yes, folks. For just $1.95 per annum you can get hours of amusement. Okay. So it could be just me. But I don’t think so. Like my hate for VERIZON, I suspect this is a universal resentment for the ways in which the business world has changed. Look! Testimonials! (1), (2), (3) Posted in Random-ness | 1 Comment »

| September 28th, 2004 | Mr. Rodgers |
I was thinking (again, again) about the things in our lives that help formulate our early concepts of reality, the ways in which we define our lives and set our goals. The following was posted on an office bulletin board (oooh, and by the way, if you are coming to the party Saturday and sitting at home wondering “what should I bring?”, I really need a corkboard. thanks. or a bottle of rum. hmm.): What I learned from Mr. Rogers. It’s nice. So many people remember to give credit where due that ones deep-laden optimism just has to be rejuvenated once in a while. (OH! & Eternal Sunshine just got released. ANOTHER great housewarmer…) But before you get too giddy on the inspirational heights that may be attained, check THIS out. Humbling, huh? Oh wait, that was the wrong link. Try this…. Yeah. I know. That’s like my best attempt ever, in total! Not just one try. I’m so ashamed. I think I’ll crawl under my covers now. P.S. Posted in General | 1 Comment »
