August 31st, 2004 The things we think about….

and the things we don’t.

Since repeatedly concentrating on the same topic will carve a groove into your mind making it increasingly difficult to think of new things…, and since the more we think about the same topics the more we wear out our welcome….. let’s delve for a moment (thank you Paula) into the shores of our jungian unconsious to determine what exactly caused this line of thinking, shall we? In my case (and those on friendster already know this…) it’s:
I Love You Love Me Love
Gary Glitter

Huh, well that just says it all!

(p.s. i have never even heard of this song!!! who the heck is Gary Glitter? hopefully nothing like Peter Pan!)

August 30th, 2004

August 23 is the day sacred to Nemesis, Greek goddess of Justice. The goddess of righteous anger, who first emerged from Chaos. Her festival was called Nemesia. She defended the belongings and memory of the dead from all insults, and avenged all those who despoiled their reputations or their property.

August 30th, 2004 LXXX.

O, how I faint when I of you do write,
Knowing a better spirit doth use your name,
And in the praise thereof spends all his might,
To make me tongue-tied, speaking of your fame!
But since your worth, wide as the ocean is,
The humble as the proudest sail doth bear,
My saucy bark inferior far to his
On your broad main doth wilfully appear.
Your shallowest help will hold me up afloat,
Whilst he upon your soundless deep doth ride;
Or being wreck’d, I am a worthless boat,
He of tall building and of goodly pride:
Then if he thrive and I be cast away,
The worst was this; my love was my decay.

“Peggy, darling. Look: I’ve only been here… twenty minutes, and already I feel this pressing need to take some sort of action. It’s as if someone were constantly whispering in my ear, saying, “Move it, lady. Get to the plot!”
